About the Pivot ‘From Hydrocarbons to Heat’ Conference Series

​

PIVOT is a conference series launched in 2020, featuring thought leaders and change makers who are building the future of geothermal energy. The mission of the PIVOT series is to build momentum and traction within the oil and gas industry for geothermal development, with the goal of global engagement in scalable geothermal development across the industry by 2030.

PIVOT celebrates progress toward that goal each year through a week-long gathering of leaders and luminaries. The inaugural theme of PIVOT's first year, "kicking off the geothermal decade," has been widely adopted by industry and media outlets as the vision statement for the future of geothermal.

In PIVOT's second year, the sessions attracted more than 14,000 participants from 120 countries globally, with sessions headlined by internationally recognized entrepreneurs such as Virgin's Richard Branson, TED's Chris Anderson, and IHS Markit's Daniel Yergin.
